Solar Fencing Solar Fencing

Solar Fences are electric fences powered by the solar energy. A fencer unit (ie., energizer) is attached to the fence wires. It produces a short but painful shock when touched. These electric shocks or impulses are painful but harmless and it is essential.

Compared with barbed wire electric fences are much easier to install and move, lower in cost and are harmless. They can also be used with an existing old fence.

Components of a Solar Fencing System:

Energizer :The energizer is the heart of a Solar Fence system. It can be selected based on the length of the fence and the for which it is being used.

Solar Panel: Solar panels act simply as battery chargers. They convert light directly into electricity to charge the battery. The battery stores this electricity which allows the Energizer to operate at night or during periods of low sunlight. The size of the solar panel depends upon the Energizer size and power setting, Geographic location and the level of usage

BatteryThe key consideration in choosing a battery is the battery capacity (Ampere-hours Ah). There must be sufficient capacity to reliably power the energizer during winter or reduced light conditions.

Advantages:

Can be used in remote locations, where there is no mains power supply.

They are simple, convenient and can be easily transported.

Once installed, they provide a maintenance free permanent solution except for periodic checking of the battery level.

They use the energy in sunlight, which is free, reliable, abundant, universal, non-polluting and hence environmentally safe.

These solar fencings can be used in agricultural fields for protection of crops from cattle & wild animals, Jungles, Wildlife sanctuaries, in entry restricted areas of security zones.
